Introducing

Dennis has nearly 20 years of experience supporting and educating individuals within the community. His work began during college as a direct support for individuals assisting with physical, mental, and medical needs as well as helping to develop and deliver fun educational activities.

Shortly after, he was hired as a case manager for individuals with high intensity behavioral needs at The Charles River Center. It was a formative experience where he began to understand behavior and motivation in a deeper way, going on to become a Safety Care Trainer for the company and assisting to write and oversee the implementation of behavior plans.

Promoted to Operations Manager, Dennis helped scale back both subcontract and center-based work to be in line with new regulations in the state of Massachusetts. As part of this transition, he helped build curriculums and initiatives for the evolving program. Within a few years he took on the role of Director of Day and Employment Services promoting equal opportunity and Community Based Day Services while overseeing the direct care staff and case workers who supported those same services.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Dennis and his team were re-deployed into houses while the Day Service Program was closed. He continued to develop web-based curriculum and zoom meetings so that education and engagement could continue during lockdown and quarantines. Like many, the pandemic came with a time for reflection and change and Dennis began new work in the state of Maine as a community case manager supporting individuals and learning the nuances of the state’s policies and structures.

Dennis joined the Serenity Residential team in 2024 excited to continue his work as an advocate for residents rights, person centered planning, meaningful community engagement, and greater independence for all within the community.
