Introducing
Robert Hyer graduated from Ashford University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Art in Social Science, minoring in psychology with a specialization in Health and Human Services. Robert has worked in this field for over 10 years. He started his career off prior to obtaining his degree as a Direct Support Professional and Home Manager for individuals with Intellectual disabilities and Autism. Once graduated Robert began his career as a community case manager, eventually obtaining a job with the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Aging and Disability (OADS) as a guardian representative/case manager. During his time at OADS, Robert took on an active capacity position as Waiver Manager for Section 21 and 29. During this period Robert managed both Maine waivers assisting with development of policies, managing waiver slots, assisting with budget as required and working with complex cases. Robert finished his career with OADS, working with DS Crisis as a Complex Crisis Case Manager. During this time, he worked on special projects, finding resources for individuals with high behavioral and/or medical needs, Behavior Management Plans and developing tools and systems for DS Crisis to perform their job more effectively and efficiently.
Outside of work Robert enjoys playing video games (especially open-world adventures), camping, and spending time with friends, family, and his cats. Robert has three cats named Binx (Black Cat), Katie (Tuxedo Cat) and Ammo (Black and Whie long haired cat)
