Introducing
I am very excited to join the Serenity team. I bring 16 years of experience working with adults with IDD.
I started as a DSP for OHI in 2010. I have been a supervisor where I over saw multiple homes and staff.
I was responsible for ensuring the homes meet all Licensing regulations with State and Federal guidelines. I worked with Case managers and guardians to ensure the people we supported had the best care possible, and that they lived their lives as independently as they could. I went on to be a House Manager.
I was responsible for training new DSPs on Positive Support Plans and HCBS regulations as they were changing over the years.
I then became the Assistant QIDP, where I worked hand in hand with the State of Maine to ensure that the People supported had the plans required and followed all OADS regulations. I worked with Evergreen to ensure compliance with reportable events.
During my many years with OHI, I became the proud recipient of the ANCOR 2025 Maine State DSP of the Year award as well as a one of Penobscot County MASCP 2024 DSP of the Year Award.
I have gone to the State House to advocate for Adults with IDD as well as Advocate for the DSP’s Cost of Living wages.
