Introducing

I am truly honored to be joining a team that is so dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of its members. I bring 30 years of experience in Health and Human Services to Serenity. I have built a distinguished career in the field of developmental and community-based services. Beginning my journey in 1995 as a Direct Support Professional and Residential Supervisor, I quickly advanced through a series of leadership roles. Assistant Administrator, Community Supports Supervisor, Team Coordinator, and Manager of Home and Community Based Waiver (HCBW) Services.

During this time, I worked with some of the most difficult behaviors and numerous challenging disabilities. I oversaw the full management of 17 homes within a HCBW program, leading a large and diverse team that includes Team Coordinators, Community Support Supervisors, and House Managers. My work integrates strategic oversight with hands-on leadership; ensuring compliance with Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) regulations, managing program budgets, coordinating vendor relationships, and advocating for the people and staff I served at both organizational and legislative levels.

Throughout my tenure, I have been instrumental in fostering professional growth within my teams hiring, mentoring, and training management staff, while coordinating large-scale agency events such as staff appreciation programs, community celebrations, and advocacy initiatives. My leadership emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and compassion, all while maintaining a high standard of care and operational excellence.

Beyond my administrative expertise, I am a strong advocate for system improvement, regularly engaging with DHHS to review and comment on regulatory changes, testifying at the state level to promote positive policy reform, and coordinating innovative partnerships through grant programs such as Station MD and Good Life. Over my career, I have completed extensive professional training spanning leadership development, behavioral support, trauma-informed care, regulatory compliance, crisis management, and more.

In addition to my career achievements, I have two grown biological sons and many bonus children. I have served as a Foster Parent for more than 35 years. Providing therapeutic family support and mentorship to children with specialized needs. My commitment earned my recognition as Foster Parent of the Year, a reflection of my lifelong dedication to nurturing others, both personally and professionally. A lifelong Mainer and community leader, I embody compassion, integrity, and perseverance. My career stands as a testament to my unwavering belief in supporting individuals to live rich, meaningful, and independent lives within their communities.
